If you would like for your pet to be bathed before being picked up, please indicate this on the reservation formWe offer bathing by request.  Check with Jeri at time of drop off for bathing availability. Please plan to pick up your pet after 10:30 AM if a bath is requested, and indicate pick-up time on the reservation form.

All dogs get 45 – 60 minutes outside time in the yards around the barn 2 to 3 times daily.  That time can be alone or paired with others for playtime.  Would you like for your dog to have more than that?  Now available:  We will take your dog to the orchard out front and spend one-on-one time with him/her.  We can just sit there and watch squirrels together or we can play Frisbee or chuck-it tennis ball.  We can even just have some supervised sniffing time.  Please let us know at check-in if you would like a little extra for your dog.  (Weather Permitting)
30 minutes = $10/day

FYI:  Effects of Stress on Dogs
At Badger Creek Kennels, we do everything possible to ensure that your pet’s stay is comfortable and stress-free.  Please understand, however, that boarding can be stressful for some animals, no matter how much loving care is provided.  They are in strange surroundings with people they do not know, and their daily routine is changed from the home environment.  No matter the age of the pet, he or she may become stressed by these changes.

While stress does not cause illnesses, it is well documented that it can cause an underlying illness to surface.  That is, the pet has had the illness for some time, but not until the animal is stressed does the illness show up.  This can include viral or bacterial illnesses.  We do everything we can to ensure a safe and sanitary environment which minimizes exposure to bacteria and viruses; however, we are unable to control all conditions or airborne particles.  Thank you for your understanding.

Required Vaccinations:
Given at 4 months of age, then 1 year later, then every 3 years
Given annually or every 3 years depending on vet
Bordetella More Information
Given annually or semi-annually.  Vaccine must be given no less than 14 days prior to boarding.

We do not require the flu vaccine, but we do recommend it. At this time you should discuss with your vet and follow their direction.

We recommend that all pets be on flea prevention to stay at our facility. Pets not on a monthly prevention should be given prevention, whether oral or topical, at least 48 hours prior to check in. Thank you.
